Suffern Slam Society holds a poetry slam the first Saturday of every month at Ireland's 32 in Suffern, NY from 730 PM to 10 PM. A poetry slam is a performance poetry competition judged by arbitrarily-selected audience members. We've already held several events in Bergen County, NJ prior to creating this Meetup Group, and plan to organize events at least once a month.
